Objectives
This 4 day course is designed to give all participants an understanding of not only the basic principles of lean manufacturing and Kaizen tools and techniques, but also the practical application within the workplace.
The course will be a combination of class-room training and practical exercises, as well as a site visit to State-of-the-art Gravure Printers, Prinovis, Liverpool. The location for the college course is a local conference facility, close to Liverpool & Manchester Airports and the motorway network.

Course Outline
Day 1 : Introduction to Lean and Kaizen (including Ohno’s 7 + 1 Wastes and Understanding Paradigms).
Day 2 : Total Flow Management (Introduction to 5S, the principles of Flow,Takt & Pull). Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Day 3 : Going to Gemba (Site Visit, including Muda Hunt, 5S Audits etc.)
Day 4 : Total Quality Management (7 Quality Tools, PDCA, 8-step Problem Solving). Total Change Management (Kaizen Support Office & Critical Success Factors in a lean programme).
